With facades on both Broadway and Grand Street, the D. Devlin Building was completed in 1861. Its original use was as a prestigious store.

The facade is being extensively conserved with late 20th century additions being eliminated. An existing aluminum storefront is being replaced with original cast iron and wood infill, and the original vault lights are being restored.

459 Broadway is being converted to residential lofts with interiors complimentary to its exterior.

The project is being processed at the Landmarks Preservation Commission and the City Planning Commission.
