The A. J. Dittenhoefer Building is one of the most distinguished cast iron buildings in the world. With magnificent facades on both Broadway and Howard Street, it was built in 1870 as a prestigious store building, in the Venetian Renaissance style with French Renaissance detailing.

427-429 Broadway is being converted to residential lofts with interiors complimentary to its exterior.

The project is being processed at the Landmarks Preservation Commission and the City Planning Commission.
